Printz Battery and Mine
The Printz Battery and Mine is an historic site on the Longwoods section of the Te Aroroa trail. Our job will be to cut back vegetation around this site. There is very little information on this site and we will have to go in and do a survey on this site. It is somewhere near that creek on the map.
This mine had a water powered stamping battery for crushing the gold laden quartz established in 1878..
