Upper Cromel Bivvy

Upper Cromel Bivvy is in the Southern Eyre Mountains up near the bush line near the top of the Cromel Stream. It is a 2 bunk bivvy and can be reached by going in the Acton road, (permission from the forestry owners is easy to get, if they are logging you will need to do an induction, that’s easy just 30 minutes in Invercargill), and tramping up the Acton and then Cromel streams keeping to the West at the track junction just above the Cromel Branch Hut.  At this stage we do not know what needs doing so we need to go in and do a hut survey. We are looking for someone to take this hut on. It has a fireplace and a toilet and water is from the nearby stream.
